About this Course

The American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course certifies candidates to teach swimming and water safety courses. The updated 31 hour course content includes teaching progressions, lesson planning, skill error recognition, fitness and training, and more. Pre-requisites include; must be 16 at the last date of the class, successful completion of preliminary knowledge and skill test, and demonstrate correct form in swimming all six traditional strokes. Ages 16 and older.
